Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machinery and the ability to produce high-quality components with precision. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a CNC Operator, you will play a crucial role in fabricating parts that meet our stringent quality standards.
Duties
- 1. Active involvement in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment, to include keeping work area clean and free of hazards.
- Mounts, aligns and secures holding fixtures and check to establish reference points.
- Works from instructions to program operation specifications.
- Set stops and machine travel.
- Operations to include boring, milling, recessing, occasional profiling or contouring.
- Manually cycles machine thru operation sequence to check fixture and work positions, tooling, clearances, speeds, etc.
- Notifies supervisor (or lead person) immediately of problems, concerns, and questions.
- Works from part drawings, job card and specifications. Follow special instructions as communicated by supervisor or lead person.
- Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Records all necessary job information on appropriate documents and forms.
- Complies with all Company policies.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, particularly lathes.
- Experience with calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with tooling setups and adjustments.
- Adhering to safety protocols.
- Logical thinking skills for problem-solving in manufacturing processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
