Job Purpose:
- To drive sales growth and market share expansion within a designated region for WRIGHT WISNER DISTRIBUTING CORP. This role is responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, developing and implementing regional sales strategies, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales strategy aligned with the company's overall sales objectives.
- Manage a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to maximize their effectiveness.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region, building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and prospects.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage the regional sales budget effectively, controlling expenses and maximizing return on investment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and participate in relevant industry events.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry best practices.
- Provide excellent customer service and support, addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular field visits with sales representatives to provide support and assess performance.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers.
- Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer data, and generate reports.
- This position will oversee the Eastern Region territories for Wright Beverage, working from both our Finger Lakes and Rochester office locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the distribution industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a sales team and achieving sales targets.
- Experience developing and implementing sales strategies and business plans.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, practices, and techniques.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
