Entry-Level Design Coordinator

Custom Home Design Assistant: really limits what jobs you can post so please be made aware that this is an assistant position that we are looking for. Someone who is looking to get into the field and is passionate about interior design.

This is an in person role that will report to our office in Bedford, VA as well as our construction sites within a 1 hr. radius. This is a great position for someone to grow their knowledge in residential design and construction with the opportunity to grow in the future.

Duties:

• Collaborate with the design team and Project Management to support all project phases.
• Assist with email communication between job subs and vendors on all design projects
• Add selected materials into our project management software for clients.
• Other tasks to assist the designer as they are needed or as they arrive.
• Prep studio for client meetings
• Keep Studio and selections materials organized.
• Keep Studio and staging Library up to date.
• Work with Designer on home closings to Stage for Pictures and Video.
• Create Canva mood boards for clients and marketing.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in interior design.
• Accompany Interior Designers on site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

Requirements:

• A BS in Interior Design or an equivocal experience.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field.
• Must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal, written and face-to-face) with in house crews, vendors, and clients.
• Ability to multi-task and switch between projects.
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
• Outstanding problem solving, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Must be self-motivated to work independently
• Must have a great attitude and be able to respect others.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
• Overtime
