The Deputy Sheriff plays a crucial role in maintaining law and order within the community. Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance operations to monitor criminal activity and gather evidence.
• Participate in criminal investigations, collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports.
• Enforce laws and regulations while ensuring the rights of individuals are respected.
• Respond to emergency calls and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
• Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict resolution techniques to de-escalate situations.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on investigations and community initiatives.
• Engage in community policing efforts to build trust and foster positive relationships with residents.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on law enforcement practices and legal changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in law enforcement is preferred.
• Proven experience in law enforcement or related fields is advantageous.
• Strong skills in surveillance techniques and criminal investigation methods.
• Knowledge of immigration law is a plus.
• Ability to drive safely under various conditions while adhering to traffic laws.
• Proficient in animal handling and care for situations involving domestic animals.
• Excellent conflict management skills with a focus on de-escalation strategies.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities within a team environment.
• Must pass background checks and meet all state requirements for Deputy Sheriffs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
