Position : Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry
Location : Rochester, NY 14626
Shift time : 12hr Night Shift
Duration : 13 week contract
Duties
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions
- Assist in procedures such as gastric lavage and wound care
- Utilize critical thinking skills in emergency room (ER) situations
- Provide care in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, assisted living, and other healthcare settings
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law for appropriate documentation
Skills
- Proficiency in medical/surgical nursing practices
- Experience in pediatric care, including toddler care
- Familiarity with travel nursing practices
- Strong understanding of OR protocols and procedures
- Ability to adapt to different healthcare environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
