Wright Investments / Hospitality Management Advisors, Inc., is currently recruiting for the position of Assistant General Manager at our newly renovated Marriott Tribute Property, Grand Adirondack Hotel in Lake Placid, NY.
Job Summary:
The Assistant General Manager will focus on supervising the guest service, housekeeping and valet operations of the hotel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist GM in the operation of the guest service / rooms department in order to maintain all set standards of guest service.
- Manage compliance with company and/or brand established policies and procedures as well as any local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in the interviewing, selecting, and on-going training of associates.
- Provide assistance at front desk with check-in / check-out procedure as well as occasionally working a front desk shift for relief, including the night audit shift.
- Prepare accounting statements and reports, including posting city ledger charges, coding invoices, and transmitting invoices for payment to corporate office.
- Reviews timecards daily in preparation for weekly payroll.
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding billing disputes or guest service issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3 years of hotel front office experience with supervisory experience in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge and experience with hotel accounting procedures, including payroll and M-3.
- Experience with Marriott brands, software and standards a plus.
