Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager with a strong background in food and beverage operations to lead the Grand Adirondack. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all hotel departments, with an emphasis on driving performance and consistency across multiple dining outlets. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with the ability to manage complexity, energize teams, and execute the Marriott brand promise while maximizing financial results.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & F&B Focus:
Oversee all aspects of hotel operations with a strategic and tactical focus on food and beverage, ensuring high-quality service across the restaurant, bar, and rooftop venues.
Partner with culinary and service leaders to maintain consistency in execution, optimize menus, control costs, and enhance guest satisfaction.
Lead event and banquet execution with an eye toward guest experience, staffing, and profitability.
Maintain a strong presence on property, engaging directly with team members and guests across all outlets.
Financial & Brand Performance:
Manage property P&L, budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and expense control.
Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and uphold the spirit of the Tribute Portfolio.
Lead and participate in revenue strategy, working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams.
Team & Culture Development:
Build a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, coach, and retain top talent; provide mentorship and clear direction across departments.
Create a collaborative and motivated team environment across both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Guest Experience & Community Engagement:
Champion a personalized guest experience rooted in local connection and service excellence.
Actively engage with the Lake Placid community and represent the hotel with professionalism and pride.
Ensure high guest satisfaction and maintain strong scores in both Rooms and F&B.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of full-service hotel leadership experience, with extensive experience managing multi-outlet food and beverage operations.
Experience in Marriott or other branded environments preferred; familiarity with Tribute Portfolio standards a plus.
Strong understanding of financials, service delivery, team development, and guest engagement.
Hands-on, people-first leadership style with the ability to inspire and execute.
Experience using key systems including PMS, POS, financial dashboards, and scheduling tools.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
