The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing new consumer loans, indirect loans, loan changes, and new depository accounts (including consumer, business, and high-risk accounts) for quality assurance. These reviews include daily, weekly, and monthly audits, as well as providing structured and documented findings to the Credit Union leadership teams. The Quality Control Analyst is expected to utilize their expertise in reviewing credit union products to identify any activities that may present undue risk, fraud, or malfeasance.
- Conducts the inspection and analysis of consumer loans, indirect loans, and new depository accounts to ensure they meet quality standards and contain all required documentation. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (45%)
- Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of products, policies, and procedures and stay up to date on changes in these areas. (15%)
- Reviews individual quality control findings with partners and management to identify solutions and achieve correction of errors within a 60-day period. (10%)
- Develops sampling procedures, forms, and methods of inspection to support new credit union products and procedures and ensure reliable reporting. (10%)
- Prepares and publishes management reports to communicate results of the quality control review, including a written analysis of root cause. (10%)
- Reviews loan and deposit reports to identify and report unusual items or anomalies. (5%)
- Serves as a partner- employee resource for error correction guidance and general knowledge of credit union process and procedures. (5%)
The Quality Control Analyst should have thorough knowledge of consumer loan and new account processes and procedures, and the associated documentation required to correctly open these accounts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years financial institution experience is required with experience in new account and loan opening.
- Basic understanding of compliance laws and regulations such as Regulation B, Regulation Z, Regulation E, and CIP.
- A thorough knowledge of WPCU written practices and requirements regarding lending and the new account opening process.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a high level of accuracy to detail-oriented work.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and use necessary software to complete job functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to successfully and routinely complete work within established deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
