What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Revit Designer position at Wright-Pierce?
Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure, is seeking an Electrical Revit Designer to join our Portland or Topsham, ME office. This position works on development of drawings for bidding and construction, designing models and systems layouts, and other interesting and challenging projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops clear and concise drawings for bidding and construction
- Works with electrical engineers to layout electrical gear, panels, lighting, or other systems
- Creates design models and closely coordinates with other building disciplines
- Accompanies electrical engineers on field assignments to review existing design conditions
- Develops record drawings (“as-builts”) after construction is completed
- Utilizes company drawing development standards and guidelines
- Participates in project review meetings and team meetings
- Manages work within given project budgets and schedules
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Exhibits strong interest in electrical and controls systems
- Effective written and verbal communication; builds strong relationship with coworkers
- Possesses excellent attention to detail and organizational/time management skills
EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of work experience utilizing Revit AND AutoCAD in drawing production
- Revit release 2016 or newer
- AutoCAD software release 2019 or newer
- MS Office including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/ BIM360
- Experience with parametric Revit family creation
- Experience with the National Electric Code
- OSHA10 and Confined Space Training certification
EDUCATION
- Associate Degree in Engineering technology OR equivalent work experience
