The Milk Mover plays a vital role in ensuring top-quality dairy products by moving milk and maintaining equipment used in milk processing. This position supports the daily operations by ensuring milk is efficiently transported, packaged, and stored while following all regulatory standards to maintain a clean, sterile, and safe environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
- Clean, set up, operate, and monitor equipment related to milk transportation and packaging.
- Perform changeovers and adjustments to ensure efficient milk-handling processes.
Milk Handling and Transportation
- Move, handle, and restock milk containers and wagons safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of milk and dairy products.
Facility and Cooler Maintenance
- Maintain and clean coolers, wagons, and storage areas according to company and safety standards.
- Adhere to and promote safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
Communication and Problem-Solving
- Communicate with departments and team members about inventory needs or process issues.
- Identify and resolve basic operational challenges to minimize downtime.
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Report any quality or safety concerns immediately to management.
Competencies:
- Attention to detail and precision in handling cyclical tasks.
- Ability to spot and address problems promptly.
- Strong teamwork and independent working skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding of cleanliness, safety, and physical condition standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, food processing, or shelf stocking is beneficial but not required.
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts, including early mornings and occasional nights.
- Physical ability to lift 60 lbs., move heavy carts, and work in wet, cold, and loud environments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this role.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the essential job function for this position, the employee is regularly required to:
- Has contact with many types of dairy processing equipment such as separators, homogenizers, HTST, bottle fillers, blending tanks, and pumps.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals as required during sanitation processes.
- Ability to lift, move, and/or maneuver heavy objects (up to 170 lbs.) using a hand truck.
- Regularly push/pull heavy milk wagons (200-700 lbs.).
- Regularly required to speak and hear clearly, stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
- Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
