Summary
A Kitchen Manager, or Kitchen Supervisor, is the person who ensures that kitchen departments run smoothly and ensures that all kitchen and restaurant staff adhere to safety regulations. Their duties include supervising kitchen staff, organizing food orders, overseeing food preparation, cooking and examining food plating and temperatures.
Dual Role with Curriculum Coordinator which includes gathering materials for the classrooms, creating ideas for the children and implementing them.
Duties
Upload and create menu each week for children
Upload CACFP docs
Create and send grocery order for the week
Clean and sanitize kitchen after each use
Clean and sanitize tables and floors after each feeding
Know CACFP details (allowed foods and unallowed foods)
Gathering materials for curriculum daily
Ensuring Procare is up to date
Requirements
Have basic knowledge of food
Must love to cook
Must be willing to float in the classroom
Must be willing to adhere to allergies and protocols
Must be willing to change foods when needed
