Wright Technical Services is proud to support a leading integrator client in the Steel Industry who is actively seeking an Automation Hardware Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Automation Hardware Design Engineers design industrial control panels and enclosures for harsh environments, including PLC, remote I / O, operator stations, and drive cabinets. This role requires close collaboration with the drafting department and automation engineering team to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret assignments from the design lead and coordinate with project teams on specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the drafting team to produce and review engineering drawings, including BOMs and electrical schematics.
- Select and size equipment, fusing, breakers, and wire based on design specifications.
- Generate Input / Output lists in Excel from customer electrical drawings.
