Job Summary
Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a leading company in the fluid analysis industry, who provides services across manufacturing, transportation, energy, and heavy equipment. As a Full Stack Java Developer, you would work full-time as a developer on our Laboratories Application Engineering team building and supporting Java & JavaScript applications. Our application engineering team develops and maintains internal and customer-facing applications and services which deliver our company’s products—reliability information—to our customers.
We are a small team with a strong team culture working in a fast-paced enterprise-level environment. We are in a long-term digital transformation with tons of interesting data-rich business features and technical problems to solve. In this role you would develop applications to solve those problems and serve our customers.
Who We’re Looking For
As an ideal candidate for this position, you should have significant experience developing web applications with Java. You can write UIs, utilizing Apache Wicket & Velocity. You can craft a SQL string to solve a data model problem or learn how to do it. Always open to learning more, you quickly accept and share valuable feedback with fairness and work towards consensus. You enjoy tackling hard problems or improving existing things. You leave things better than you found them. You enjoy working collaboratively with others and communicating clearly and effectively.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in related technical disciplines or equivalent real-world experience.
- 7 years or more of real-world experience with Apache/JBoss/Java frameworks (Java 8)
- Experience with Restful APIs using JSON, as well as integrating with other systems (via CSV files, message queues, or API calls, etc.).
- Experience writing UI’s with a front-end frameworks such as Apache Wicket and Velocity (or similar).
- Experience with Spring framework and Jenkins build process.
- Familiarity with Quarkus (or similar), ActiveMQ, SOAP and Jasper Reports.
- Familiarity with SQL strings to solve data model problems.
- Strong development foundational knowledge: Class object-oriented Java, frameworks, etc.
- Comfortable with HTML and CSS.
- Comfortable with Git.
- Experience with AWS DevOps is a bonus.
Description
- Deliver code to implement business features, fix identified issues, or improve the software.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Follow team coding workflow to deliver code, issue pull requests, participate in code reviews, and deploy code to target environments.
- Triage problems in deployed environments.
- Participate in Agile-Scrum project workflow and team rhythms: working through Jira ticket system, daily standups, regular backlog grooming, sprint retrospectives, demos, and planning.
- Report to a developer-supervisor.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
