Position Summary:
The VP of Operations is responsible for setting the strategic direction and processes for the Company’s operational departments. This position will report directly to the CEO and will serve as a member of the executive team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company’s operations.
· Assist senior executive management in prioritizing operational initiatives relative to overall company objectives.
· Develop and foster effective collaboration between divisions to ensure an integrated approach to attain objectives. Defines, directs, and delegates responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities of direct reports.
· Oversee company-wide operational activities through management staff involving Sourcing, Contract administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
· Ensure all operational activities are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
· Responsible for operational production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitability of operation.
· Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· This position manages all employees of the operational departments including Sourcing, Contracts administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Kitting, Distribution, and Customer Service and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the leads within each department.
Experience, Education, Certifications:
· Minimum of 5 years related experience required.
· Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Competencies:
· Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff.
· Proven leadership excellence.
· Strong business acumen.
· Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
Computer Skills:
· Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
· Experience using ERP systems.
