What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finisher I / Plating Helper position at Wright Tool?
Classification: Finisher I
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Objective: The purpose of this position is to complete final operations on products by hand and using required machines that make them available for final inspection while meeting Wright Tool quality standards
Essential Functions:
· Monitor and ensure safety requirements are met and sustained
· Rack parts per instructions in the plating area
· Set up and run assigned machines and processes including: Strip Tank, Straightener, Paint Booths, Mechanical Vibrators, and Buffing Wheels
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment
· Properly label and manage waste generated in their area
· Inspect product for damage and flaws
· Communicate issues with supervision
· Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
Education and Training
· High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Qualifications
· Working knowledge of shop procedures.
· Ability to read and understand job travelers
· Ability to read and understand blueprints and utilize measuring devices and gages
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
