Team Leader
Wright Traffic Control is a union-based company providing safety to areas of Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Maryland, District of Columbia, and West Virginia. The WTC Team Leader is responsible for ensuring traffic control services supplied to our clients are reliable, well trained and provide a safe environment. The WTC Team Leader provides guidance and leadership to their team to achieve a shared goal. WTC Team Leader reports to the Area Manager, Operations Manager, and/or VP of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Field Supervisors, verifying the proper handling of issues in the field and that company procedures are followed
- Conduct site audits and report issues to Managers
- Efficiently direct Field Supervisors in daily routes
- Review End of Day Reports for territory
- Train and mentor new Supervisors
- Track and report hours from supervisor team
- Inspect submitted site audits
- Oversight of special projects as needed (MOTs, TCP)
- Motivate and inspire to drive performance within the team
- Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure that all jobs are fulfilled, and equipment needs
- Delegate tasks to Field Supervisors as needed
- Generate and complete reports as required
- Foster strong customer relationships, meet with clients and address any issues or concerns
- Follow all safety and health rules as it pertains to traffic control
- Conduct verbal/written performance management reviews
- Ability to respond before and after business hours as needed
- Maintain a positive, high morale environment and foster teamwork
- Maintain proper inventory for smooth operations in the field
- Maintain and account for company vehicles and equipment
- Ability to be proactive, well organized and lead multiple projects
- Oversee the maintenance of the fleet vehicles are completed as needed
- Head up motor vehicle accidents and employee reports of injury
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Advanced computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work closely with senior leadership
- Experience in managing time and a team of employees
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have a valid driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record
- Must produce and maintain a negative drug test result
- College degree preferred, will consider a mix of education, prior experience in lieu of college degree.
- Complete the ATSSA, TCT, TCS and Defensive Driving classes as instructed
- Complete additional training as directed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
