What are the responsibilities and job description for the Search Engine Optimization Analyst position at Wripple?
Wripple is looking for a 40-hour/week, onsite SEO Analyst contractor for one of our financial services clients in Vienna, Virginia for a 6-8 week contract.
The SEO Analyst is self-motivated, data-driven, organized, and dedicated to improving the member experience and supporting business priorities through web content analysis. The SEO Analyst will support a sitewide audit of content, evaluating pages based on both their value to the organization and how well optimized they are to their intended purpose. Advanced knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO), online/digital metrics, taxonomy and information architecture is required. The SEO Analyst will report to the Web & Content Strategy team, but may collaborate with developers, UX designers, copywriters and stakeholders, to ensure deliverables fulfill strategic needs and improve the member experience. Will need to work with limited guidance on complex projects with significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Analyze company web content in accordance with parameters established for our complete site audit.
- Work with the Web & Content Strategy team to interpret raw data and evaluate existing content.
- Assist the Web & Content Strategy team in providing strategic recommendations based on interpretation of data to product strategy teams and other relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze and report content results and make recommendations for future campaigns and projects.
- Identify and analyze competitive gaps and opportunities.
- Develop/recommend changes to improve usability of digital content, functionality, interactivity, and usability of site(s) to management.
- Proactively work with product team to formulate creative ideas or solutions for potential issues
- Ensure compliance with corporate brand standards, marketing style guides and legal requirements
- Track/coordinate implementation of digital content enhancements/development and ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Apply a member-first mentality to all strategic decisions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy as applied to content. Prior experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, ahrefs, SEMrush or Screaming Frog.
- Working knowledge of digital and online technologies, best practices, trends, issues, editing and authoring tools.
- Advanced verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience in translating complex concepts, customer needs, motivations and behaviors into easy-to-understand interactive experiences and deliverables.
- Experience in using web analytics software (Adobe Analytics preferred, but Google Analytics also acceptable).
- Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.
- Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Experience in content delivery, site governance and content management for high traffic websites.
- Experience with various content management systems (Adobe AEM preferred) and experience with site governance, user roles and workflows.
- Effective skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tact.
- The ability to quickly learn to navigate new applications and systems.
