Job Overview:
The Buy to Order (BTO) Purchaser is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and services as per specific customer requirements and within Wrist’s scope of service. This role involves maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring the timely delivery of goods, and requires knowledge of general Maintenance, Repair and Operating (MRO) and consumable products, as well as technical products such as electrical, pipe valves, and fittings. The BTO Purchaser is responsible for sourcing materials and services from both local and national suppliers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Purchase Management: Verify the receipt of items by comparing them to the orders placed and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
- Inventory Standardization: Ability to search and crossover Wrist’s inventory to match customers’ requests.
- Contract Oversight: Ability to work with our Global Procurement team to identify opportunities based on spend and usage for contract opportunities to improve performance.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with the purchasing team to establish and maintain business relationships with key suppliers, ensuring the quality of goods, on-time delivery, and adherence to contractual terms.
- Quality Assurance: Review supplies to ensure they meet quality standards, accuracy, and completeness.
- Reporting: Monitor quote time performance and On-Time-In-Full (OTIF)
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure that purchase orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts; report any nonconformance.
- Records Management: Maintain accurate and complete records and reports related to purchases and supplier interactions.
- Efficiency Improvement: Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve efficiencies in the procurement process.
- Supplier Relations: Maintain positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
- Ethical Conduct: Consistently display integrity, responsibility, accountability, teamwork, and ethical behavior in all procurement activities.
- Product Knowledge: Possess knowledge of general MRO and consumable products as well as technical products, including electrical, pipe valves, and fittings.
- Supplier Sourcing: Source materials and services from both local and national suppliers to meet customer needs.
- Adherence to Company Policies: Perform assigned job duties and responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standard practices.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the procurement team and the company’s operational needs.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field;
- Three years of experience working in a purchase role, or similar capacity, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications
Salary : $53,000 - $55,000
