Reports to: Program Manager
Salary: $48,000-$50,000

Role Summary:
The School Program Coordinator will work closely with the Program Manager to create and implement school-based WITS programming. The School Program Coordinator will be tasked with supporting WITS programs and writers in school and tuition-based programs. The School Program Coordinator will lead the identification and placement of writers in-school residencies. The School Program Coordinator will serve as a liaison between WITS and school partners. The School Program Coordinator will work in tandem with the Program Manager to maintain the program expense database.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- 3 years of professional experience (preferred)
- 3 years experience working with or in K-12 schools (preferred)
Objective & Overview:
- The School Program Coordinator works in tandem with the Program Manager to support WITS’s community of writers through hiring, placement, and training.
- The School Program Coordinator maintains relationships with school partners.
- The School Program Coordinator maintains and oversees program databases including outreach information and caseload documents.
- The School Program Coordinator helps to create and implement the impact metrics process of program evaluation.
- The School Program Coordinator assists in envisioning and implementing new programs.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
Writers
- Assist in the hiring process of new writers
- Work with Program Associate to lead planning meetings between writers and schools or community centers
- Work with Program Manager to develop and implement new professional development and training opportunities for WITS writers
Schools
- Lead outreach efforts for new schools
- Maintain relations with WITS schools
- Work with Program Manager on the creation and implementation of new school-based programs
- Support all logistics and operations for school-based programs, including anthology production and distribution and various reading events
Tuition-Based Programs
- Lead the registration process for WITS Creative Writing Clubs and summer camps, and support logistics and operations
- Support all logistics and operations for tuition-based programs
Community
- Serve as liaison between WITS and community partners
- Support the Program in the implementation of grant-funded programs
Evaluation and Assessment
- Support the Program and Development teams in the evaluation and delivery of grant-funded programs
- Lead impact metrics collection and evaluation process
