We are seeking a dynamic and creative Associate Director of Marketing to lead and execute branding and marketing initiatives for our firm. This pivotal role blends creativity, marketing expertise, and strong communication skills with a deep understanding of the interior design industry.
As the Associate Director of Marketing, you will collaborate closely with the COO, branding and creative partners, and the Operations team to enhance our brand presence, engage clients, and drive overall market impact. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, professional presence, and a proven ability to develop compelling messaging strategies that align with our firm’s vision.
Responsibilities
- External Marketing
- Lead external partner and internal team coordination/communication for social media, PR, and advertising initiatives.
- For social media, actively manage Social Media partner and set strategy; lead the development and execution of Reels and Stories that capture the vibrancy of the WRJ culture and day-in-the-life of the firm.
- Lead the development of copy and creative for all marketing initiatives, partnering with Brand Director.
- Manage the organization of relevant assets and resource lists for press releases, publicity pitches, etc.
- Support the development of annual award submissions, partnering with New Business team, Principals, and Brand Director.
- Website
- Conceive and execute all website updates in collaboration with the COO and Brand Director independent contractors.
- Manage web development partner and coordinate with Operations for internal content and photo asset updates.
- Photoshoots
- Lead scheduling, group emails and communication, and budget management for photoshoots
- Support the firm’s custom publishing projects, as directed by COO and Operations
- Lead and manage strategy around / execution of photo rights/usage for all photoshoots
- New Business & Marketing Collateral
- Manage project and communication flow and timelines for external and new business collateral.
- Support copy and creative development, partnering with the New Business team, COO, and Operations
- Events and Client & Partner Hospitality
- Lead the process to develop event & holiday invitations and announcements and client gifting, working with Independent Contractor Branding Director.
- Support client hospitality/meetings.
- Support Operations in event set-up/take-down, staffing, building styling, catering management & execution, etc.
- Remote Office Support & Collaboration
- Ensure remote offices have sufficient marketing collateral, other resources, and support
- Partner with Operations Director to ensure collaboration and synergy among all WRJ offices
- Budgets & Timelines
- Develop and manage marketing budgets to quarterly spend goals and annual targets, in partnership with COO and Finance Team.
- Develop and manage marketing project timelines.
- Marketing Administration & Asset Management
- Organize and lead weekly planning meetings with Principals, Operations, and Brand Director
- Organize and maintain all relevant folders, files, and digital assets
- Organize and maintain physical inventory all marketing and new business collateral, materials & supplies, and tools
- Manage updates to Asana as for new projects and as project status changes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or related
- Minimum 8 years’ experience working in a marketing capacity, preferably for an interior design firm or similar professional services firm.
- Interior Design background preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and social skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word)

COMPENSATION
This is a full-time, salaried position. Compensation commensurate with experience.
