Role : Operations Manager – Energy Division

Location : Palo Alto, CA

Salary : $200,000–$230,000

Our client, one of the nation’s largest and most respected MEP firms, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their growing Energy Division. With over a decade of expertise in energy-focused mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems, this team specializes in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for clients.

As an Operations Manager, you will oversee a team of 15 professionals, managing a portfolio of energy-focused projects. This role requires a proven leader with deep expertise in mechanical contracting, ESCO projects, and team leadership in complex construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project delivery teams, ensuring alignment with project scopes, schedules, and financial goals.
• Oversee all aspects of preconstruction, including cost estimation, risk reviews, constructability assessments, and procurement strategies.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, including prequalification, scoping, and pricing during preconstruction and construction phases.
• Drive team performance through staffing, leadership development, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Support client engagement, attending project meetings and contributing to presentations to ensure client satisfaction and value delivery.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including design consultants and subcontractors, to develop and deliver optimized solutions.
