Position Overview:
As the Solar Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for the company’s commercial solar energy systems. You will work closely with prospective clients to understand their energy needs, craft customized solutions, and oversee the sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation. You will also manage and mentor a small sales team while collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth for commercial solar projects in California and Arizona.
- Prospect and generate new business by identifying and targeting potential commercial clients.
- Conduct in-depth energy assessments and consult with potential clients to present tailored solar energy solutions that align with their needs.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal creation, negotiations, and closing deals.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate with the project management and engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project implementation.
- Provide regular updates to the executive team on sales progress, forecasting, and pipeline status.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to stay ahead of the market and inform sales strategies.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPI goals set by the company.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior sales team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the solar energy, construction, or renewable energy industries.
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of solar energy solutions, commercial solar installation processes, and renewable energy market trends.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.

- Base salary of up to $110,000, with performance-based commissions.
