Your Responsibilities
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Performs routine maintenance (engine, hydraulic, coolant, transmission & differential services) on a variety of equipment.
- Re-orders parts from local vendors as needed. Maintains current parts inventory.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and greases equipment when needed.
- Sets up and operates welder, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Completes repair orders for all completed tasks and includes all parts used.
- Swing shift required(2:00PM-12:00AM).
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 5 years experience
- CDL and TWIC cards not required, but preferred
