Come join our team of creative designers and craftsman to build custom exhibits for use in trade shows and conventions across the nation. The Carpenter will perform fabrication and production duties as assigned, including cut-out and assembly of exhibits and exhibit parts. Prepares exhibits for paint or laminate with p-lam or veneer. Performs final assembly after paint, wraps and pack parts.

- Carpentry expertise in exhibit, retail display and/ or commercial millwork, inclusive of skilled carpentry techniques using saws, routers, pneumatic nail & staple guns, gluing and lamination as well as various power and hand-held tools.
- Able to read & comprehend CAD shop drawings as well as adhere to quality building standards and specifications
- Assists with model building and builds crate for shipping.
- Confers with exhibit planning and art personnel to discuss structural feasibility of plans and to suggest alternate methods of displaying objects in exhibit.
- Cuts, assembles, and fastens parts to construct framework, panels, shelves, and other exhibit components of specified materials, using hand tools and power tools.
- Sprays or brushes paint, enamel, varnish, or other finish on structures, or creates special effects by applying finish with cloth, sponge, or fingers to prepare structure for addition of fittings.
- Mounts fittings and fixtures, such as shelves, panel boards, and shadowboxes to framework, using hand tools or adhesives.
- Installs electrical wiring, fixtures, apparatus, audiovisual components, or control equipment in framework, according to design specifications.
- Installs or affixes murals, photographs, mounted legend materials, and graphics in framework or on fixtures.
- Assembles, installs, or arranges structures in exhibit galleries working with maintenance and installation personnel.
- Requires some travel around the U.S.
