Overview
- This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, entrepreneurial, sales professional to help drive revenue in a high performing business unit. The Manager, Brand Partnerships will help grow the Brand Partnerships group which is the business unit within WS Development that generates revenue by selling select media assets, brand activations, sponsorships, and integrated marketing programs to like-minded, value accretive brands.
- The Brand Partnerships team is responsible for selling and executing sponsorships and activations (such as the Holiday Market at SNOWPORT) with best-in-class brands in categories including: auto, CPG, tourism, tech, financial and beauty. Past partners have included: Lexus, Jet Blue, Paramount , Red Bull, Glossier and many more.
- The right candidate will have strong sales, media and sponsorship experience. This role is mostly new business generation and this needs to be a core skill of yours, which you love. To succeed you will need to care passionately about your customers’ success and growing your existing account revenue but also be aggressive in building new business. This role will report into the VP, Brand Partnerships
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally and collaborate across all levels of the company both internally and externally to build and maintain mutually beneficial revenue-producing partnerships
- Partner with and lend support to the Brand Partnerships team as well as GMs and Field Marketing team members
- Achieve individual sales target and contribute towards the team revenue goal
- College degree required, advanced degree a plus but not required
- 5-7 years of sales experience. Strong preference for candidates who have sponsorships / partnerships for a venue.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment that requires the ability to pivot and manage through ambiguity
- Preference for candidates who have experience working both direct (with companies) and with agencies
- Familiarity with the local tech / life sciences community a plus.
