What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Materials Lab Technician position at WSB LLC?
WSB, Inc. is seeking Construction Materials Lab Technician with a strong knowledge of the industry and test procedures to join our team. A qualified candidate must be able to work as part of a team, be reliable, have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. WSB is a full-service engineering firm, with well-established offices located in Oklahoma. WSB works with numerous clients that include state agencies, city, county governments, and private organizations.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare soil samples for testing according to applicable test procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests according to specs and standards such as but not limited to Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, proctors, sulfates, HMAC testing, concrete compressive strength testing.
- Record lab results.
- Maintain a clean work environment, and keep lab tools and equipment organized and ready for tests.
- Requires lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 70 lbs.
- Consult with supervisor on test assignments or other related issues.
- Perform administrative duties such as filling up timesheets and expense reports.
What you Will Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Able to prepare legible reports and documentation.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Applicable Certifications:
- OKAPA, NICET, ACI, Certs applicable to OKDOT testing (Preferred)
