What You Will Do:
- Research property ownership, set up parcel files
- Find tax records to obtain owners information
- Familiar with recording real estate documents
- Request title commitments or reports
- Prepare title curative memo
- Draft conveyance documents
- Ability to notarize documents
- Obtain mortgage releases
- Assists in scheduling eminent domain proceedings
- Prepares and updates status reports for ongoing projects
- Assists with processing payments
- May assist with billing support
- Has basic proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
What You Will Bring:
- Associate degree in business, planning, construction, survey or a closely related field or one or more years of right of way related experience
- Texas Public Notary or ability to attain within 6 months of hire
- Ability to work independently, communicate and document effectively
- Multitask on different projects and handle large volumes of work
- Effectively balance office and field work in a collaborative and deadline-sensitive manner
- Willingness to travel within Texas and to out-state projects
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with GIS, Microsoft Office Products and various databases
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and Contacts in right of way related to Transportation or Local Public Agencies
Experience in Texas specifically for TxDOT or Local Public Agencies
Knowledge of acquisition and relocation procedures under the Uniform Relocation Act
