Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our every growing team. You’ll play a key role in both business development and project execution, mentoring staff, and leading geotechnical investigations of complex geotechnical projects including analysis and reporting. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while building a strong, client-focused team.
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
What you will do:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing geotechnical team, ensuring delivery of quality projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and execute geotechnical scopes, from field exploration to report preparation and laboratory coordination.
- Manage client relationships and drive business development efforts, expanding both existing and new client bases.
- Oversee geotechnical investigations, foundation design recommendations, slope stabilization, and transportation projects.
- Provide strategic advice on construction issues, ensuring conformance with engineering standards, safety, and project specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates, geotechnical reports, and manage project documentation, including soil boring logs and design calculations.
- Lead business development activities, contributing to the identification and securing of diverse new clients.
- Ensure project safety and compliance, while addressing potential risks associated with subsurface conditions.
What you will bring:
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry and expertise in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspection services.
- Proven success in business development, including client outreach and proposal preparation.
- Expertise in managing complex projects, tracking scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Ability to analyze and resolve engineering challenges with creative, innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related field).
- 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a track record of leading teams and managing projects.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oklahoma, with an established network of clients in the construction industry.
- Strong background in site assessments, foundation design, and transportation-related projects.
- Ability to work in diverse conditions and travel to various project locations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
