Youth Residential Recovery - RN - Lakewood

WSi is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an esteemed client located in Lakewood, CO! The RN provides on-site nursing and attendant care to youth residing in the center’s Residential Recovery program located in Lakewood, Colorado. The RN will provide direct care, nursing services, and medication administration to youth ages 13 to 18.5 participating in substance use disorder treatment. You will also be helping out on the adult side if needed.

Position Details

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 5 eight hour shifts.
• On-call may be required for night or weekend shifts
  
  

$70,000 - $90,000 yearly salary, with a $7500 sign-on bonus (paid out in 3 increments at 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year of employment)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, nursing services, and medication administration to residents as per program regulations and individual treatment plans, including the collection of medical specimens.
• Conduct patient assessments for new admissions.
• Administer medications safely and accurately, documenting all medications received and/or refused.
• Offer nursing support by acting as the “on-call” RN for the Youth residential unit when necessary.
• Prepare discharge summaries and instructions, encompassing medication management, interpretation of laboratory values, follow-up provider appointments, and other relevant information. Communicate these discharge instructions to parents/guardians and address any questions they may have.
• Provide ongoing direct care, nursing services, and medication administration to clients in accordance with program regulations and individual treatment plans, including the collection of medical specimens.
