What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator- Warehouse Solutions- Fontana, CA position at WSI Standard?
The Warehouse Solutions Coordinator is the first line of defense at WSI ShippingTree’s fulfillment center for examining and solving problems and actively communicating with internal teams and external customers with updates, findings, and resolutions. This position also monitors special projects and provides ongoing project updates to customers. Enthusiastic collaboration with other stakeholders and communication are key for this role. This full-time hourly position will report to the Facility Manager. The schedule is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Communicates with customers and internal teams regarding exceptions and special projects.
- First Responder at the site level to communicate within one hour during the business day.
- Works promptly to provide information to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Address exceptions and provide updates on special projects.
- Builds trust and partnership with customers and internal teams (e.g., customer service and IT).
- Identifies and solves problems with the ability to provide improvements and solutions to processes.
- Tracks exceptions in a log to identify and monitor trends.
- Monitors inventory health and status by completing counts as required.
- Fosters a safe, positive, inclusive, and equitable work environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Excellent knowledge of inventory control, the pick/pack process, and the inbound process.
- Must be able to respond timely to communication channels (email, phone, Slack, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively through writing and via phone.
- Ability to describe problems and resolutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Collaborative, good problem-solving, and high attention to detail.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years working in a fulfillment operation and working with a warehouse management system.
- Bi-lingual, English and Spanish Preferred
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures.
- Must be willing and able to safely lift to 60 pounds, and slide, push, or pull cases up to 150 pounds.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
