What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory and FTZ Coordinator position at WSI Standard?
We are hiring for a 1st shift (8:00 AM-4:00 PM) Inventory and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Coordinator to ensure product arrives, is stored and departs in correct quantities to meet customer expectations. This full-time position will report to the Facility Manager and may occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Monitor and maintain inventory; track orders; and investigate inventory issues promptly.
- Maintain database, perform physical counts, and reconcile stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Investigate and resolve customer inventory concerns and claims, and respond professionally.
- Assists in control procedures and planning activities that relate to inventory control in the building.
- Ensure accuracy of all shipment documentation through following established procedures.
- Prepare and submit all required documentation and forms to Customs and Border Patrol.
- Validate FTZ data to ensure accuracy of integration and information.
- Routinely update and report to direct management concerning activities related to the FTZ.
- Manage recordkeeping of import and Customs documents.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- FTZ Coordinator experience required β minimum 2 years.
- Significant attention to detail; an ability to identify errors and make corrections.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Database Management.
- Basic math to ensure accurate counts including ability to analyze and problem-solve.
- Ability to operate technology equipment including Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners to manage inventory.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written.
- Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of Customs and international trade compliance.
- Must be able to pass a CBP (Customs and Border Patrol) background check.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Experience with detailed documents, processes, and procedures.
- Previous experience working in warehouse environment
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers for keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
- Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
- Must be willing and able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, stoop, squat, and safely lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
