What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor position at WSI Standard?
We are currently looking for a positive and energetic leader to join our team! As the Shift Supervisor, you will support all aspects of the Neenah Cold Spring warehouse operation at the shift level. You will ensure safety is the first priority and all performance indicators are met. Training and mentoring is key in building a cohesive team. This position will report to the Operations Manager and will work 12 hour shifts from 6PM - 6AM on a 2/2/3 schedule.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure safety is the main focus while also making sure KPI’s are met
- Monitor the daily inbound/outbound schedule and achieve 100% LRTC that is in your shift control
- Manage the daily work load and labor hours
- Complete all shift reports accurately
- Ensure the distribution center and our mill areas are kept clean and “tour ready”
- Keep our inventory accuracy at 99% or higher
- Complete accident investigations, reporting, and retraining
- Interact and respond appropriately and courteously with our customer and our employees
- Conduct warehouse audits and safety observations
- Complete all coaching, performance evaluations and discipline write-ups in a timely manner
- Provide training and mentoring to team
- Mentor and coach Production and Dock Leads
- Other assignments/projects as needed to ensure our customer needs are met
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to make decisions and stay calm under pressure

- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Perform daily tasks in an organized manner
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years previous leadership experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in warehouse environment
- Knowledge of excel spreadsheet, database management and analytics
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls
- Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company
