Schedule: Monday to Friday. (Occasionally, you may be required to work on a Saturday, approximately one to three times per year. )

Shift Times: 1pm-10pm

Salary: $41,600 Annually

Location: This position is based at our Cottonwood Heights Corporate office and requires daily attendance. However, during your shift, you may need to travel across Weber, Davis, Utah, and Salt Lake County in Utah. Applicants must be willing and able to undertake this travel as part of their work duties. Mileage driven for work purposes will be reimbursed at the standard mileage rate established by the IRS, which is subject to annual adjustments.

Job Description

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Field Support Manager to monitor and assist with nightly door side to dumpster trash and recycling valet services for multifamily communities throughout Salt Lake County. You will work in collaboration with our administrative team to ensure client satisfaction and oversight of a part-time workforce responsible for service provided nightly. This position is full time and requires 40-45 hours per week on average.

Responsibilities

The Field Support Manager plays a crucial role in supervising trash and recycling valet technicians. This ensures that all operations are executed efficiently and effectively, maintaining the high standards of service that WSI is known for.

Regularly monitoring and assisting with the nightly door-to-dumpster services, the Field Support Technician ensures that all operations adhere to the company's quality standards. This role is vital in identifying and addressing any issues promptly, thereby maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the service.

A core responsibility of the Field Support Technician is to train new technicians and help develop their skills. This not only improves the quality of service but also fosters a learning environment that encourages professional growth within the company.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Collecting bagged trash, recycling, and broken-down cardboard from residents' door sides using on-site equipment.
• Transporting these materials to designated on-site dumpsters, trash chutes, or compactors.
• Separating recyclables into appropriate dumpsters and inspecting for contamination.
• Engaging with residents you encounter, providing a friendly and professional service.
• Issuing Educational Courtesy Compliance Notices for non-compliant trash or contaminated recycling, along with taking necessary photos.
• Uploading photos and compliance notices into our app to document your findings.
• Cleaning up any loose trash around dumpsters, chute rooms, or compactors.
• Returning all equipment to its designated location after service completion.
• Additional tasks may include replacing bags at pet waste stations, collecting bagged pet waste, and managing community waste bins near doors or common areas such as pools and other amenities.
• At the end of your shift, you will check out using our app.
• This position requires extensive walking and, in some cases, climbing stairs. Some communities may also require the use of a personal open bed pickup truck.
• This role is not just about maintaining cleanliness but also about enhancing resident satisfaction and promoting recycling practices.
• Assist with our Quality Assurance program by completing periodic audits of our nightly services
• Assist with training new technicians and help develop their skills

Qualifications & Requirements

• A valid Driver's License and ability to operate a motor vehicle in Utah is required.

(Valid documentation included but not limited to Auto Liability Insurance and Driver's license must be maintained.)

• Must be able to physically lift and transport up to 50 lbs. and able to work in indoor and outdoor environments during various weather conditions.
• Must be able to ascend or descend stairs and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
• Possess a smartphone with an active data plan and location services enabled
• Must be available Monday through Friday

• 2-3 years of managerial or team oversight experience.

• Strong decision-making skills with a focus on customer and associate impact.
• Ability to adapt to evolving work demands and processes.
• Competence in managing stress and de-escalating customer issues.
• Conscientious, reliable, detail-oriented, with a friendly attitude towards property management, staff, and residents.

• Frequent travel across service areas including, but not limited to, the Wasatch Front area is required; candidates must have reliable transportation
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
