POSITION: Polyvantis SAP/Transportation Support
LOCATION: Mt. Vernon, IN
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage external warehouse operations and processes. SAP trouble shooting, inventory management, ensuring document accuracy, tolling transportation management.
- Load planning management, LTL/FTL cost improvement efforts
- Monitoring logistics claims and corrective actions. (packaging, root cause, etc.)
- Improve customer delivery accuracy by working with the sales customer service team to meet delivery dates.
- Understanding how and why to update master data to make logistics processes work correctly. (Customer and material master data)
- Participating in the monthly transportation review meetings with quarterly metrics
- Assists 3PL Procurement personnel with freight negotiation processes as needed.
- Understands and own daily operations of Truckload and Less-Truckload shipments and how they relate to cost per pound; own resolution of issues affecting cost per pound and service metrics.
- Knowledgeable and comfortable working across any transportation mode. Quoting, providing internal cost estimates, etc. – air, ocean, truck – LTL/FTL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education – bachelor’s degree – field of degree not extremely important
- None to low level SAP experience is ok.
- Transportation experience 2 years minimum (both brokerage and manufacturing preferably)
- Location– 5 days a week onsite
