Digital Ideation Specialist

We are seeking an innovative and tech-savvy Digital Ideation Specialist to join our dynamic newsroom team. The ideal candidate will integrate AI-generated content into both traditional and non-traditional rundowns, including streaming formats. This role is designed for a creative professional who will leverage AI tools responsibly and effectively to research, develop, and create compelling news content tailored to our anchors unique voices and on-air personalities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to upholding journalistic standards of accuracy, integrity, and fairness while embracing emerging technologies to enhance storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Driven Research: Utilize AI tools to explore latest news, breaking news, trends, and story ideas from credible sources. Summarize key information for the newsroom team while ensuring accuracy, fairness, and timeliness.
• Content Creation: Develop news scripts, social media posts, and web copy based on press releases, wire services, and verified news sources. Adapt content for the stations tone, style, and audience.
• Voice Customization: Tailor scripts to reflect each anchors unique delivery style and personality, ensuring consistency and authenticity on air.
• Collaboration: Work closely with producers, reporters, and on-air talent to align content with newsroom priorities and creative vision.
• Editorial Oversight: Verify AI-generated content to ensure it meets our ethical standards and industry norms, prioritize fact-checking, balanced reporting.
• Innovation and Training: Stay updated on emerging AI tools and technologies. Provide training and insights to team members on best practices for integrating AI in news production.
• Content Optimization: Create content that resonates with both traditional and digital audiences, optimizing scripts for cross-platform delivery (TV, web, social media.)
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a newsroom or digital content creation role
• Proficiency with AI tools for research, writing, and editing (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, or similar)
• Strong understanding of journalistic principles, media ethics, and storytelling techniques
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content to different voices and platforms
• Familiarity with content management systems and newsroom software
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
