Business Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CLM Business Analyst to join our team on a consulting-to-perm basis for a role with our client, a global investment bank based in New York City.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in end-to-end system implementation, focusing on Client Lifecycle Management (CLM), Client Master Data Management, Client Reference Data Management, and Data Governance. Prior experience working with Big 4 consulting firms is highly preferred.

This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to improve client data management processes and systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance. The candidate should have a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and the ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Analysis for System Implementation:
• Conduct requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis to support the end-to-end implementation of CLM-related systems and processes.
• Define and communicate business needs to technical teams, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives.
• Client Lifecycle Management (CLM):
• Support the design and implementation of CLM solutions to enhance the client onboarding process, data management practices, and client experience.
• Analyze current CLM workflows, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
• Client Master & Reference Data Management:
• Facilitate the integration and management of Client Master and Reference Data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment across multiple platforms.
• Define data standards and collaborate with teams to ensure adherence.
• Data Governance & Compliance:
• Assist in implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, BCBS, Dodd-Frank).
• Monitor data quality and integrity, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Process Analysis & Optimization:
• Evaluate existing client data management processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
• Partner with business stakeholders to design and implement streamlined workflows.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with teams across Credit Risk, Operations, Compliance, and other departments to ensure alignment on CLM and data management initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, facilitating clear communication and understanding.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Develop reporting mechanisms to track progress and outcomes of CLM and data governance initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on client lifecycle management, client data management, or reference data.
• Prior experience working with or for Big 4 consulting firms is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in supporting system implementations and process improvements in a financial services setting.
• Industry Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of financial services, particularly investment banking, credit risk management, or operations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting client data, including GDPR, BCBS, and Dodd-Frank.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience with data management platforms, MDM (Master Data Management), CLM tools, and CRM systems.
• Ability to use data visualization and reporting tools for analysis and communication.
• Skills:
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
