The Opportunity
WSP USA has an opportunity for an experienced senior leader with facility-related project experience in the transportation sector, focused on airports, container ports, highways, rail / transit projects, and similar programs, to join our Property & Buildings group supporting the California Region as Senior Vice President – Local Business Leader . This position is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join a dynamic office team with experienced professionals in a leadership role and build a team of professionals to capture and expand WSP's market share in this sector. The position is based in WSP's Los Angeles, CA office.
The Local Business Leader is responsible for supporting delivery of a diversified portfolio of clients and projects through all phases of project development, diversification, and growth, driving strategic direction, and working closely with local and regional managers and technical leads. The Local Business Leader will also work closely with business and technical leaders in other regions to collaborate on business development opportunities and strategies.
The Local Business Leader is responsible for a diverse range of delivery and business development activities that support the company's overall positioning and contribute to achieving the California Region goals. Activities will have both internal and external elements. The external responsibilities will include developing and managing key client relationships, gathering and disseminating market / pursuit intelligence, building our pipeline across all transportation market sectors, and maintaining a strong brand image.
Internal responsibilities include managing project teams, motivating and driving teams to achieve overall project delivery objectives, recruiting and deploying resources to pursue specific projects and strategic opportunities successfully, and contributing to the timely delivery of innovative and high-quality work products to support our clients and projects.

- Drives the performance of the facility-based transportation-focused business and strategically grows our market share to fulfill our goal of making WSP our clients' preferred, trusted advisor.
- Manages local client coordination and cross-selling efforts in coordination with Region, District, National Business Lines, and Pursuit Management.
- Represent the firm in the facility-specific transportation market through regular involvement in client and industry events and associations to promote intelligence gathering and pipeline development.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations) : $279,090 - $341,110
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and / or federal law.
