Your Impact
- Perform design tasks and create drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) related to the development of transportation projects in Microstation OpenRoads Designer.
- Produce high quality technical and professional deliverables.
- Make required changes, additions, and/or revisions to existing CADD drawings.
- Analyze incoming data and determine solutions with minimal guidance.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine appropriate solution.
- Possess a sound understanding of project expectations, role, available tools and resources, networks, workflow, scope, and budget.
- Coordinate on projects with other disciplines.
- Provide ongoing project / task updates regarding progress to keep others informed of current status and outstanding issues before they become problems.
- Adhere to WSP USA quality Assurance Policies/Procedures, CADD protocol, as well as client standards and requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Technical School Certificate in Drafting/Design or Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior drafting and design support experience.
- Experience in technical civil engineering and associated disciplines.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Proven track record upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Experience in OpenRoads Designer
- Experience working with KYTC or other agencies
