Senior Communications and Public Involvement Manager Tempe, AZ, United StatesJob Description This OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Communications and Public Involvement Manager for our Tempe, AZ office. Be involved in projects with our WSP's Communications & Public Involvement practice and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.Your ImpactServe as a lead for communications and public involvement on large transportation projects and programs,Implement effective public outreach strategies for high profile projects,Develop public involvement plans,Take initiative and ownership of public involvement tasks and guide the project team and subconsultants to develop effective strategies to solicit feedback and input from the public,Facilitate and organize virtual and in-person open houses, workshops, public hearings, neighborhood meetings, ground breakings, ribbon cuttings, and other public events,Prepare talking points, multi-media presentations, newsletters, public exhibits, display boards, meeting summaries, and documentation,Create, edit, and produce public involvement documents and social media content,Work closely with the client to ensure communications alignment with the agency,Attend virtual and in-person external project, agency, and community meetings to provide public involvement updates and identify public involvement issues,Interact with the public utilizing a wide range of traditional and innovative communication methods including website management,Produce and maintain stakeholder databases and lead stakeholder issues identification,Interact in a clear and concise manner with a variety of diverse audiences,Develop and expand client relationships and business development efforts,Support business development with copywriting and proposal development, as needed, and,Perform other duties as assigned or required by WSP USA Inc. and our clients.Who You AreRequired Qualifications10 years of experience in communications / marketing / public involvementBachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related fieldAbility to work well with the public and interact effectively with all organizational levels, including agency staff, senior management, executive leadership, board members, community leaders, and city / county / state representativesExperience working on large transportation and infrastructure projectsExcellent verbal, writing, and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and interdependentlyAbility to work beyond standard business hoursStrong time management skills and high attention to detailStrong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Preferred QualificationsBilingual in English and SpanishExperience working for / with WSP client organizations and in the infrastructure consulting industryExperience planning and participating in pursuits, proposal preparation, and interviews for projects.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug / alcohol and harassment policies.Job Info Job Identification 66067Locations 1230 West Washington Street, Tempe, AZ, 85288, USPosting Date 02 / 06 / 2025, 02 : 19 PMAbout Us About WSPWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
