WSP is currently initiating a search for a Surveyor Instrument Operator for our Asheville, NC and/or Mooresville, NC office to support our Southeast Region Geospatial / Surveying Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team conducting conventional, aerial, mobile and terrestrial surveying projects by accompanying and assisting other WSP field surveying staff members.

- Using survey instruments to perform field surveys for civil transportation projects
- GPS surveying, Boundary Surveying, Topographic Surveying
- Working closely and collaboration with a dynamic team of experienced professionals

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of land survey experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successful candidate must be willing to travel from time to time
- Self-motivated, highly reliable and great work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
- Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundings
- Ability to travel as projects dictate
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
