WSP is currently initiating a search for an Chief Inspector for our NYC office with an interest in bridge and transit engineering/construction.
Your Impact
- Assign and supervise construction inspection team members.
- Review and check inspector's daily work reports for correctness and accuracy.
- Keeping the Resident Engineer informed of field construction operations.
- Participate in meetings and ensure the field staff is conforming to all health and safety standards.
- Communicate with contractor's foreman and supervisors regarding work schedules and work operations.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 11 years of acceptable inspection experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills of technical documents.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications
- NACE I and/or SSPC Certification. AMPP Certification.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification NICET IV or acceptable equivilent ASCE grade or combination of acceptable education and experience on similar duties as a NYSDOT employee.

Expected Salary: $78,200 - $136,730
