WSP is currently initiating a search for an Emergency Management Specialist to report out of our Columbia, SC, Charleston, SC or Raleigh, NC office. Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Emergency Management cost estimating and pricing development
- Disaster Recovery/Public Assistance project support
- Emergency response cost/documentation unit support, project financial reporting
- Subcontractor and vendor management support
- Emergency response operations and logistics support, project reporting
- Subcontractor and vendor management support
- Operational system and application management
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Emergency Management, Public Administration, or similar/related concentration, or equivalent.
- 1-3 years experience in Emergency Management, including public sector experience in an Emergency Operations Center.
- Advanced knowledge of Emergency management operations, financial management principles, federal grants, planning.
- Travel Required - Must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to project sites for an extended period of time.
- Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
