Marketing Specialist - Strategic Growth Team

This Opportunity

WSP has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to join our Seattle, Redmond, or Tacoma, WA offices . As part of our Strategic Growth Team, you will be involved in the strategies, accounts, and pursuits that fuel our growth and enable WSP to be part of projects that design the future.

The Marketing Specialist, under close supervision, assists with coordinating aspects of preparing proposals, qualifications, and presentations. You will also help manage data in the sales systems, maintain sales collateral, and may support regional communications initiatives.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role in the A/E/C or professional services industries. We’re looking for someone with a collaborative, can-do attitude and a special knack for creativity and persuasive storytelling.

Your Impact

• Supports and/or may lead the overall coordination and production of proposals/qualifications and other sales materials with close supervision including scheduling and conducting proposal kick-off meetings, and color reviews to develop a winning, compliant proposal.
• Researches, gathers, edits, and produces proposal materials, including writing, verifying, and formatting proposal information.
• Coordinates design and production of proposal materials with graphics staff.
• Develops and maintains proposal, qualification, and sales files, including resumes, project descriptions and sales and business development databases.
• Supports client teams by preparing materials for internal and external meetings and may participate in client team meetings.
• May support communications team on regional activities, such as newsletters, project awards, visibility and social media campaigns, conferences and other special communications-related projects.
• Ensures the various aspects of proposals and other sales and business development materials are compliant, accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
• Supports the presentation phase of pursuits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred in Journalism, Communications, or English. Or equivalent years of applicable experience.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role, and experience in writing, editing, proofing, and general layout.
• Or HS Diploma and 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Competent in and passionate about writing proposals.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and other software programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to handle several tasks, projects and monitor schedules.
• Knowledge of procedures necessary to coordinate a standard proposal from onset to conclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in A/E/C industry.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Interest in automation and other emerging technologies.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $60,700 - $97,900

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
