This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an Sr. On-Call Wetland Biologist in New York State. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
These positions are primarily to support our renewable energy work across New York State and other locations in the northeast. Our successful candidate will have experience conducting waters / wetland delineations in New York State, knowledge of the 1987 USACE Wetland Delineation Manual and Northcentral and Northeast Regional Supplements. Familiarity with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Article 15 stream and Article 24 Regulations is a plus.
Your Impact
- Waters / Wetland delineations and Waters of the U.S. jurisdictional determinations
- Wetland and Stream Functional Assessments
- Plant and habitat surveys
- Floristic Quality Assessments (FQA)
- Special status species surveys
- Invasive Species Surveys and Mapping
- Data processing and workflows, QA / QC, and summary report writing
- Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
- Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations) : $75,400 - $124,400
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and / or federal law.
