This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Vice President Hydrogeologist to join our California Site Investigation and Remediation Team . You will support our project delivery and growth in multiple market sectors and will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers in the Bay Area, CA area offices (including Oakland 12th Street, Petaluma, San Francisco or San Jose locations). Our ideal candidate will be a significant contributor both with strategy and delivery on a team providing project and client management services for hydrogeologic characterization, environmental investigations, water resources assessment, and operational water management.
Your Impact
- Assist with leading environmental site assessments (Phase I and II).
- Ensure analysis of literature, data, laboratory samples, and other sources of information uncovers primary, secondary, and tertiary chemical impacts.
- Providing technical expertise and / or support for geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, hydrogeologic testing, geologic and hydrogeologic visualization, analytical and numerical groundwater flow modeling, contaminated sites investigations, and development of conceptual site models.
- Develop action plans for larger-scale pollution, corrosion, hazardous waste, and environmental control programs.
- Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams in executing project work.
- Participate in the application for environmental permits to address issues or concerns and with undertaking any resulting corrective strategies.
- Project management and regulatory agency communications, with responsibilities appropriate to the level of experience of the individual
- Proposal writing and maintaining / developing client relationships to ensure project delivery and generation or repeat business.
- Classify contaminated soil or environmental materials such as hazardous waste and provide guidance in their disposal.
- Provide verbal and / or written inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and contribute to providing high level strategic advice to clients.
- Develop a client base for providing high level environmental risk assessment services including identifying additional business development opportunities.
- Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development.
- Collaborates with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready solutions for clients.

Compensation :
Expected Salary (all locations) : $114,000 - $210,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and / or federal law.
