The Director, Student Conduct works to take appropriate administrative action in matters involving issues with and/or violations of the Student Code of Conduct. This position assists with case management for Pirates CARE Team and students of concern. Reports to the Executive Director of Equal Opportunity Compliance.
Duties And Responsibilities
Salary Range: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in/with student conduct in a college or university setting. Experience working with Maxient system.

Job Description
The Director, Student Conduct works to take appropriate administrative action in matters involving issues with and/or violations of the Student Code of Conduct. This position assists with case management for Pirates CARE Team and students of concern. Reports to the Executive Director of Equal Opportunity Compliance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Adjudicates cases involving alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct and assures that administrative and statutory procedures are followed.
- Oversees the recruitment, training, and management of the Student Conduct Hearing Board.
- Works closely with the Public Safety/College Police Department in matters that involve both criminal activity and student conduct violations, while keeping a clear separation between the criminal and administrative roles and giving deference to the necessary priority of criminal prosecutions.
- Implements training for faculty and staff on student rights and responsibilities, classroom behavior, and other related topics.
- Mediates between students and faculty in an attempt to resolve student conduct cases informally.
- Counsels with faculty, staff, and Public Safety/College Police Department in resolving various problems with students.
- Assists the Executive Director of Equal Opportunity Compliance by suggesting revisions to the Student Code of Conduct and related procedures as needed to remain in compliance with the law and to address new problems as they arise.
- Serves on the Pirates CARE College Behavioral Intervention Team assisting with case management for student of concern cases.
- Assist with Title IX and Equal Opportunity Compliance investigations as needed.
- Responsible for knowing and conforming to all safety practices and regulations that apply to this specific area and position. Unsafe conditions should be reported to the immediate supervisor and to the Pensacola State College Police Department/Public Safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
