Job Description
The Extend Developer develops equipment-oriented procedures such as the conversion of an application from one computer system to another; solutions for a management information retrieval problem or simple generalized inquiry programs set; analyzes functional specifications of a complex program to design and develop detailed specifications and general flow charts for assigned routines; provides internal program interfaces; works with and mentors lesser experienced programmers; reports program progress and programming activities; determines detailed design, method of development, and test plan from general specifications; estimates and plans own work under general supervision; works from remote locations when necessary to login and keep systems available to end users; and improves existing programming techniques, as applicable, to meet assigned objectives. Reports to the Director, Workday Solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in systems science, computer science, software engineering, or a related field and experience as a computer programmer on large-scale computer systems in an online, multi-processing environment OR an unrelated two- or four-year degree with a minimum of two years of work experience as a computer systems analyst on large-scale computer systems in an on-line, multi-processing environment. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

- 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
