Job Description
The Human Resources Representative is a part-time position located on the Pensacola campus. This position performs general human resources functions with the College’s records management, salary and service verifications, new hire and onboarding tasks, and other related functions. This role assists with general departmental processes to support employment, leave management, document retention and/or production, responding to requests for information, and other assigned duties; prepares and processes required documents for retention to employee Workday accounts, and departmental records; and assists with the creation and upkeep of electronic records related to HR personnel files.
This position reviews and confirms data within reports for accuracy and completion; assists with required labor law, announcements, and/or other postings within the department; assists with preparation of documents in relation to public records and attorney requests for records; and assists in preparing records and documents needed for accreditation studies, audits, and administration’s specific requests.
HIPAA PHI Level: No access to PHI unless specifically authorized by the HR Director.
This position is the first line of communication for the Human Resources department; therefore, it is imperative the selected candidate possess the ability to demonstrate exceptional face-to-face, telephone, electronic, and written customer service skills to employees, retirees, applicants, students, visitors, and suppliers. The candidate selected must have the ability to prioritize and organize workload, meet deadlines, provide attention to detail, and follow-through on assignments; demonstrate knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) in a networked office setting, human resources software, and internet navigation; exercise strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees; and handle sensitive matters and materials with the utmost discretion.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or GED equivalency and two years of documented experience in human resources or related function are required. College coursework may substitute for one year of the required experience. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

- 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
