Overview:
As a Service Team Member with WSS, your Neighborhood Shoe Store, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, helping customers find the best products, and creating a welcoming store environment. You’ll contribute to the store’s success by assisting with sales goals, processing transactions, handling returns and maintaining Visual Merchandising & Store Standards. You will be the expert in product knowledge, assisting your team to deliver exceptional service. By promoting a culture of one-touch resolution, you'll be empowered to address customer needs quickly and effectively, ensuring a seamless and efficient shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Make the customer the priority by providing a friendly greeting, answering questions, taking them through the store experience and helping them find what they need.
- Resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and handle transactions accurately, including cash management and register balancing.
- Following company procedures for cash drops, register cleanliness, and point-of-sale (POS) functions is essential, as well as handling returns professionally.
- Contribute to sales goals by promoting products, offering loyalty program, and assisting with stock management, price changes, and shipment processing.
- Assist with store presentations, including floor changes and visual merchandising, to ensure the store is inviting and well-organized.
- Additionally, you'll maintain a clean, safe environment while following Safety & Asset protection guidelines to minimize shrinkage to keep our Team and products safe and secure.
- Demonstrate and Represent Company Core Values: This includes providing excellent customer service, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, acting with integrity, and contributing to the success of the team.
- The role requires the ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand or walk for 8 hours daily.
- Employees must climb ladders, maneuver boxes, and communicate effectively in person and on the phone while performing essential tasks.

Required Experience:
- Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience a plus
- Must be 18 years or older with a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Self-motivated.
- Available to work flexible hours, but not limited to weekends, holidays and occasional overnights.
