Position Summary Information
General Summary
The Student Intern - Procurement performs a wide range of functional and technical tasks that align with the Procurement Department's process improvement and electronic records management initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Develop project schedules, establish milestone dates, and manage project delivery timelines.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret procurement data from various sources.
- Input data accurately into databases, systems, or spreadsheets.
- Investigate, document, and recommend improvements to established business processes.
- Design and implement forms, tools, and templates to standardize procedures.
- Publish tools and communicate updates effectively to WSSC Water staff using online platforms.
- Create and maintain documents, reports, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Analyze procurement data to generate insights and support informed business decisions.
- Collaborate actively with team members to achieve departmental objectives.
- Prepare clear, concise, and grammatically correct written materials.
- Assist the Operations Analyst in maintaining the accuracy of procurement data within ERP systems.
- Develop presentations to communicate data insights to WSSC Water's stakeholders, including procurement management.
